Boston Rovers Look For
Last Shred of Decency
Our Boys were back in action this weekend as they took on long time rivals, Boston Rovers. As expected, it was a physical game, without much offense or class coming from the visiting side. The scoring kicked off with a Boston Rovers taking a quick free kick, ending with a curled effort in the back of the net. Although the finish was nice, let's not forget that Pav was in net. Lindholm put us back on level terms in the second half after he cushioned a header in to the bottom corner of a outswinging free kick. He has become a key offensive threat for the boys, already netting three goals from defensive positions. Fans are starting to ask the question, "how can we get Lindy in more goal scoring positions?"
With the game coming to a close, Saberi helped to turn up the heat by using some Dieogo Costa-esque techniques. After some physical play he was ruthlessly attacked by a Boston Rover player. After the offender spiked the ball at the defenseless Saberi, his teammates were quick to defuse the situation. The immature outburst cost the Rovers as they were shown two red cards andd a disapproving glare from the linesmen. Inter Boston's veteran Conor Calnan was shown a yellow card for some reason too. The league is investigating Rovers for a history of poor sportmanship and violating the leagues banned substances protocol as they were seen rubbing preworkout in their socks before the first whistle.
